COVID-19 INFORMATION

We would just like to let all our customers know that we are still open for any emergency care whilst the UK is on lockdown. We live onsite so are still able to remain open and stay safe, as we are classed as an essential business. All staff have been placed on the furloughed scheme, so no staff are at risk, and are at home until further notice. We have been in touch with the local authorities who have confirmed we are now able to relax vaccine requirements due to most vets now not doing any routine boosters or Kennel Cough vaccines at this time, as these have a 3 month window to be updated from expiry date, so if you need to use us but cannot get boosters or kennel cough done, we can accept them if they are less than 3 months out of date. We have now put in place extra measures to protect not only us but also any customers who will be dropping or collecting pets off, and now ask all owners to press the green button at the entrance gate that is closed at all times, we will then let you in, and ask you to attach you dog to the clip we now have put up in our carpark, so you can safely clip them to this and then if any paperwork must be done, we will have this ready for you in the reception, and ask you to go in and sign this, whilst we wait in the carpark for you, we will have hand sanitiser ready for you to use after all these procedures, any cats will be asked to be left in the carrier in the new reception. We will not be allowing any viewings until further notice as an extra safety measure, this will also continue after lockdown, until we know it is safe to allow customers onsite again. We do have a video tour on our website and Facebook page that you can view if required. This has had a massive impact on our business, where most bookings have now been cancelled for the next few months, and some already cancelled for the summer months, please note our terms still apply regarding payments/refunds/transfers on any cancelations, although we have now relaxed the payment due date from 1 calendar month to now only 48 hours prior to check in, this will give customers who have a booking in place with a deposit paid much more time to know if they can use the booking or if this has to be cancelled. Any bookings taken from the 27th March 20 onwards until further notice, will still be required to pay the normal deposit, which will still be non-refundable, but we will now allow these deposit to be transferred to a future booking if cancelled due to the covid-19 Pandemic, we are not taking any bookings for 2021 at this time until we are confident that we will be able to survive this depending on how long it continues for, as we do not feel it is right to take deposits for booking this far in advance until we know when this will end. We have now decided to give any key workers/NHS/police/emergency services/army a special price and will receive 20% discount on any bookings for any emergency care they may need from us due to the current crisis they are facing for any new bookings we receive from the 27th March 20 onwards until further notice, we have now also decided to offer a day creche service to anyone who may need this service in the future, and the above workers will also receive 20% off the normal rates for this service too, please get in touch for prices and times/days available. The coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illness in humans and animals. Some types of coronavirus can pass between humans and animals, but most do not. Covid-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that is currently causing flu-like symptoms in humans across the world. There is some evidence to show that pets in very close contact with an infected person can become infected with the Covid-19 virus, but there is no evidence to show that it can cause them to become unwell or that they can spread it further. As always, call your vet for advice if you are concerned that your pet is unwell. Coronaviruses explained The coronaviruses are a family of viruses that cause illness in humans and animals.
