Wonderful Clean, Roomy Kennel

“ Our 2 dogs are spoiled housedogs. Zeus is a 14 year old Shar Pei who is blind & deaf. Ruby is a 7 year old Min Pin who thinks she rules the world. They have both been kept inside all their lives and babysat by our sons & our parents. Now that parents and sons are too old to be bothered with them, we have tried several other kennels. Zeus was medicated, put into a crate (which he had never been in) and placed into a windowless closet. He required vet care after that stay. Another kennel was so loud and smelled so bad, I could not wait to leave from my observation visit. THEN I FOUND TOOTHACRES KENNELS! After reviewing their website, I visited their facility. They have so many different types of runs to choose from and all are kept clean and smelling nice. Their runs are the largest I have found, especially when you have 2 dogs sharing! Not to mention that their prices are also reasonable compared to what some smaller "Pet Hotels" are charging. The runs I reserve are called Executive Runs. I like them because they have both air conditioned and heated indoor sleeping and eating areas with rubber floor matting and 16 foot outdoor runs. I especially like that the indoor portion of the kennel has block walls so that their neighbors aren't in their face barking all the time. They even have a large play yard (which does have an extra fee)if you want your dogs to have extra play time outside. The staff are very nice (they even have cookies on the counter for you) and they have been in business for many, many years. Their location is on a green wooded hillside with a pet cemetery on site. They even send you postcards with a free night for your next stay at times. The great thing about that offer is they ask if you don't wish to use it, to give it back and they will help board strays or dogs from homeless folks! And I drive 60 miles to board my dogs there! ”
