We had a wonderful Christmas!
What a great Christmas we had, from playing and walking through the woods on Christmas eve,(we didin't get to bed til after midnight!) i got my wish for snow, and all the dogs enjoyed eating and playing with the goodies in their stockings that Santa left for them Christmas morning.
It was a truly magical time, the kennels looked and felt festive, i was singing away (much to the amusement of the doggies, no one started howling or putting their paws over their ears, so i couldn't have distressed them to much lol!), in between walking and playing i was popping in to check that my cooking was all doing ok, and i must say the turkey we had this year was the best ever, it was tasty and juicy , will be getting another from Hadham Lodge next christmas for sure.
Christmas dinner was also enjoyed by all our doggie guests, they too feasted on turkey, roast potato's,carrots, pigs in blankets ,stuffing and yorkshire pudding with a little gravy, made a rod for my own back as they looked at their dinners the next day with huge disapointment!
We hope you all had the christmas you were hoping for, and we also wish you a very Happy New Year, and if 2011 is going to be as amazing as 2010 then bring it on! see you in 2011 xx |

Happy 1st Birthday To Us!

We have had the most amazing first year, Thankyou so much to everyone for choosing us to care for your wonderful doggies,
This year has flown by, as the saying goes 'time flies when your having fun' and thats what this year has been 100% fun, your doggies have made us laugh and smile all year, and i must add they have all been so well behaved and thats down to coming from such loving familes!
It was one hell of a wait for this dream to come true, and a few months before we opened i had many a sleepless night, i felt so excited and terrifed all in one, i had dreams where i would mess up on bookings and end up with too many dogs and no kennels to put them in, then my dreams lead me to putting dogs in every available nook and cranny there was! but im glad to say that everything went very smoothly and my chosen booking system worked very well!
I feel very lucky to be doing my dream job, i think of people stuck in offices, trains, tubes and in huge tailbacks on motorways all wanting to get home, but i am at home, surrounded by happy doggies and doing what most people do to chill out, going for walkies with their dog! yes its hard work and long hours, you can't phone in sick or have a weekend off, but i can honestly say i love getting up in the mornings as i love my job, yes im running a business and its what puts food on our table but it has not felt like that, i get a huge amount of self satisfaction caring for doggies, making sure they are all happy and having fun, and love seeing them all cosy in the kennels when its so cold out.
The doggies are loving the snow and so am i, i love the snow and the magical kingdom it creates,it just looks so beautiful!
So once again Thankyou for giving us a wonderful first year and sharing your doggies with us, we have loved all of them,and hope that we will see you all in 2011, we wish you the most merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year, and remember, hold onto to your dreams, for one day they will come true..............mine did!!
